The probe without the display
SONO WZ CONNECT is the same robust, highly accurate probe for water content and conductivity in ready-mix concrete, with integrated Bluetooth in place of a cabled display.
It pairs with a smartphone running the SONO CONNECT app, which becomes the readout. One less item to carry, one less thing to charge, and no cable between the probe and the person reading it.
Readings that become records
The practical gain is not convenience, it is what happens to the number after you read it. A display shows a value; a phone can record it, timestamp it and transmit it.
For quality control that has to be defensible — a customer dispute, a specification challenge, an internal investigation into a run of bad batches — the difference between numbers written on a clipboard and numbers captured at the point of measurement is the difference between an argument and evidence.
The SONO CONNECT app supports recording and analysis, which also makes parameterization of new materials considerably easier than doing it at a display.
When to choose the cabled version instead
A phone is a phone. If your measurements are taken in an environment where personal devices are restricted, where the handset will not survive, or where network and pairing reliability is genuinely marginal, the cabled SONO WZ with a SONO DIS display in an IP67 aluminium housing is the more robust arrangement.
Both probes make the same measurement. The choice is about how you want to read and keep it.
